Inpromptu airshow

Every so often for the last few years, we've seen these aircraft practicing formation flying and aerobatics overhead. Sometimes it sounds like they're trying to land on the roof. We'll see them several days in a row. Dad reckons they're Harvards and our current theory is that they're practicing for the Warbirds over Wanaka air show.

They do look like Harvards; we used to get flights of them practicing aerobatics over our school when I was a kid (I lived near Wigram AFB).

I'd have to hear them to be sure, though.

They sound a bit like a bunch of flying lawnmowers, if that's any help.
