I believe that whatever system we end up with for the creation, distribution and publicity of, and the means of reward for entertainment and art, it will have to be evolved and will almost certainly not look anything like we've used in the increasingly less recent past. Legislation is a crude tool at best and trying to legislate for or against any particular path strikes me as a Canute like effort at best and a route to injustice at worst.

In other news, I got the Evans Bay flat! All signed up, bond and first week paid, and I can occupy on the first of February. Now I just have to organise boxes, movers, power, ISP, phone - or not, cleaning this place and so on and so forth. But I'm excited!
