I have just downloaded some 800+ images. This is going to take some editing.
Meet a friendly local from the Blue Mountains. This is one of a flock of cockatoos I had been watching circling above the bush, far below the lookout I was on. I was hoping they'd come a bit closer, and I got my wish. This bird hung around posing for me and a German couple for several minutes, close enough that I could have reached out and touched it. Looking at its beak and claws, I decided not to.
