Awful weather for photography, and pretty much everything else really. I need to go back up this hill at about the same time on a fine day, with a longer lens.
In other news, we seem to have found a new flatmate without too much drama.

I love shots like this, maybe because we don't get much weather here—although last week we had four big storms come through.

Sonoran desert

I live in the Phoenix, Arizona, USA metropolitan area, in the Sonoran desert. In the wettest year on record, 1905, Phoenix received 19.73 inches of precipitation. In the driest, 2002, 2.82 inches. This month, we've received 2.90 inches. If I recall correctly, all of that fell during last week's storms. Note that that is more rain than we received in all of 2002.

19.73"! We get 49.17"/yr, on average. I hear the desert is beautiful though.
