Hope this is not a subtle comment on the functionality of the oil column heater. *G* I've somehow managed to avoid the canonical still life. Perhaps I should change that.

No, not at all - the heater is still fully functional after I suppose 10 years or so. It is missing a wheel though.

I don't believe still lifes are mandatory - any more than female nudes are.
