Beautifully framed picture. The green fern over the red poppy is rife with symbolism.

It is one of my more somber memories of our holiday there. In every town we passed through, no matter the size, the monuments.

Until I was reminded by an ice cream man yesterday, who gave me a free ice cream because he was from Christchurch too.
