I confess to being a little perplexed. A camera, with a preprogrammed "starry sky" mode (focus to infinity, exposure to 15, 30 or 60 sec) has the good sense to delay the shutter opening to allow vibrations to damp down, but not the foresight to turn off the honking great light source on the back which is flaring and reflecting off every shiny thing in the vicinity. This being a chick's living quarters, there are a lot of things in here that could be described as shiny.
Still, with the aid of a black sock and some ingenuity, a degree of success has been had.
