Flea market

Bric-a-brac for sale, Avondale markets, Auckland. My Dad really enjoys wandering round the markets, looking for a bargain. Here we have veges, cheap stuff imported mostly from China, second hand goods, and probably a fair amount of stolen property.

I did pick up some rather nice socks, one stripy pair and two spotted ones.

Yes, probably a fair amount of stolen property. There is a large flea market not far from the city where I work. Since I'm in Hospital, that aspect applies. We experienced a spate of surgeons loops (magnification eyeware) being stolen from the Surgical Theatre. Now, these are particularly specialty items, and further may well be related to the specific surgeons vision prescription. Furthermore, the company which makes them puts the specific individual's name on them. Thus, not terribly useful to anyone else, actually.
