I don't know what its design life would be. The rectangle at the top left is a commercial billboard, and I suppose they'll want to put paying advertising back on it eventually. I think that this and the doily-covered tree (http://dianavilliers.livejournal.com/178862.html#cutid1) may be part of the same series of large temporary public artworks.
