Happy Solstice everyone!
Auckland is situated in an isthmus between two harbours, the Waitemata to the north east, and the Manukau to the south west. The Manukau is shallow and muddy, and generally not as attractive as the Waitemata, but it's not doing too badly here. This picture was taken about one hour after the solstice.
