There is a surprising lack of cute little coffee shops around here. I am disappointed in you, Roseneath.


In other news, I have discovered alloro, an Italian liqueur flavoured with bay leaves - the name alloro comes from the same root as laurel. I tried it first about three weeks ago at the terribly fru-fru Sunday food market in the Chaffers Dock building. Although I wasn't convinced at the time, I find that the idea of the flavour grew on me over time, so I went and bought some this morning, to see if I'd remembered it right. It's good, a bit medicinal perhaps, and very sweet.
