Dr Sketchy

Dr Sketchy's is a worldwide movement of life drawing events often featuring burlesque performers, fringe and underground performers, dancers, and in this case at Dr Sketchy's, Wellington, Leimomi's cadre of vintage underwear models. They're generally held in bars and similar venues and a social atmosphere rather than a studious one prevails. You don't have to be an artist to have a go - they even provide paper and pencils if you didn't bring your own. Most people do bring their own media - I saw everything from felt tip pens to watercolours, and there was even a guy there with an etch-a-sketch.

Photography is not generally allowed, but I seem to have become appointed Leimomi's official events photographer. Backstage passes! Sweet!
