Eyelets set with eyelet pliers. They don't do a terribly good job and the backs need a thorough smoothing down to get rid of scratchy bits. Still, they'll do.

Lacing, showing the "ears" at the waist. This allows whoever gets to tighten the lacing to adjust the bits above and below the waist separately, which is apparently a lot easier than trying to do it from one end.

I'm going to have to find something else to photograph now. It's a good thing that the daylight hours are getting longer.
