Twenty-five things meme

Ported from facebook, 'cause no-one will read it there if I don't tag them, and I don't tag people. Feel free to post twenty-five random things about yourself, or not, as the mood takes you.
Twenty-five pseudo-random things about me.
Twenty-five pseudo-random things about me.
- I've never smoked pot.
- Despite this I still like dub/ska/reggae/roots music.
- I also tend to like music with lyrics in languages I don't understand. Except most opera and especially opera for female voices.
- I think I might have a type II dream - but If I admit it to myself I might have to start working towards it.
- I either have a bad case of impostor syndrome, or I am crap at what I do. I'm a bit scared to find out which.
- I'm fat enough to fall in the awkward gap between ordinary women's size clothing and large sizes. This makes finding clothes that fit well very difficult, and pisses me off.
- Shoes, on the other hand fit just fine, and I have quite a lot of them.
- My newest flatmate is, frankly, a bit of a geek. It's so nice to have another one in the house.
- I have both of my grandmothers' engagement rings, and I wear them habitually.
- My hair grows really fast. Because of this I don't really get that huge emotional attachment that some women feel towards their hair - If I get it all cut off, it'll all grow back eventually.
- I get annoyed at people who say "I could never do that" with respect to the various craft/dance/random other things I do. Mostly it's not that difficult to grasp the basics at least, and the rest is just repetition. I would not, for example say that I could never knit a jumper. I don't currently have the skills to knit a jumper, and I'm not much interested in acquiring them - but I could if I wanted to and so could just about everyone with two working hands.
- That being said, I'm pretty damn good at working out how things can be made/done.
- Half way. Phew. I find words difficult. This is why I have a photo-based blog.
- So why blog at all? I have gained an incredible amount from the people who have shared their lives, experiences and flights of imagination with me and others in various online forums over the past many years (notably alt.callahans, but there are others). It was time and past time for me to pay that back, forward and sideways. It's not much, comparatively, but I hope you enjoy the pictures.
- I'm considering learning to ride a real motorbike. One with a manual transmission.
- I dont much like eating seafood, except for well prepared sashimi.
- I still occasionally play Civ II.
- My current displacement activity is making modular origami polyhedra. I can now make four types. I wish the corners would come out better.
- I think cephalopoda are way cool.
- I want to have a go at portrait photography, but am shy about asking people to model for me.
- I have achieved shodan in two different but related martial arts. I am badly out of practice in both of them.
- I believe that the number of books I have loaned out and not had returned is balanced by the ones I have inadvertently stolen myself.
- I should like to find someone who would slow dance to Leonard Cohen tracks with me. This might be difficult.
- I am still not quite used to the idea of having a real job with a salary and paid leave and respect and stuff like that. I keep wondering when the rug is going to be yanked out....
- I hope
yo_sarrian, who tagged me, is happy with this. It was difficult.
