Cabbage tree



In an effort to get a bit of exercise, I walked to the wind turbine on Saturday. These cabbage trees are about half way up.

Are they a type of palm tree? It looks very windy!

It was windy. The cabbage tree (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cabbage_tree_(New_Zealand)) is not a palm tree - it's more closely related to lilies.
